Our youth services are designed to help kids and teens build emotional strength, self-awareness, and confidence—all through a trauma-informed lens. From group sessions to one-on-one support, we create safe spaces where young people can express themselves, learn, and grow without judgment.

W.E.R.K. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

WELLNESS FOR EMPOWERED KIDS  is designed to inspire children to embrace healthy living, build self-confidence, and nurture positive habits that last a lifetime! Through a combination of interactive activities, hands-on learning, and mindfulness practices, W.E.R.K. empowers kids to take charge of their well-being— physically, emotionally, and mentally. Our program focuses on four key pillars.

Emotional Development Program

The Emotional Development Program is designed to help youth build a strong emotional foundation by exploring self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and healthy coping strategies. This program creates a safe and supportive space where participants can express their emotions, develop resilience, and gain practical tools to manage life’s challenges.

Rooted in wellness and empowerment, the program integrates mindfulness, movement, communication skills, and self-regulation techniques to support mental and emotional growth. It is inclusive of all youth and tailored to meet the diverse emotional needs of today’s generation.

Boys Ages 8-12

The "Learning Intentional Healing Techniques for Boys" program is designed to equip young boys with the skills and knowledge needed to manage their emotions, build resilience, and grow mental and physical well-being. The program focuses on integrating wellness practices, such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, physical activity, and self-care, into their daily lives.

The "GERLS - Gaining Esteem, Relationship, & Love for Self" program is designed to empower young girls by fostering self-esteem, building healthy relationships, and cultivating self-love. The program focuses on holistic wellness, integrating mental, emotional, and physical well-being practices.

TWEENS
WHO THRIVE

Girls & Boys Ages 12-17

"TWEENS WHO THRIVE" is a wellness program designed specifically for tweens and teens, focusing on body hygiene, body changes, and overall well-being. The program is inclusive and supportive, tailored to meet the unique needs of LGBTQ and homeless youth. It provides a safe and affirming space where participants can learn, share, and grow during this critical stage of development.


PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Discuss body changes during puberty with sensitivity to LGBTQ experiences.

  • Foster a positive body image and self-acceptance.
